I experienced another busy Saturday and I live in an active city. Do I go to the park or do I head to the farmers market? And then, which park do I visit? I decided to venture to Whatcom Falls Park. However, while I was chatting with a woman on the bus, it began to rain.
So do I stay on the bus or head to the park? The rain might stop or not. I ventured to Whatcom Falls Park in hopes of spotting wood ducks. And while, it did not stop raining, and the wood ducks were hiding, I did observe red-wing blackbirds zipping around Scudder Pond. Then the rain began pouring. I sought shelter but was too shy to approach the shelters since people were celebrating a birthday in one shelter and other people were milling about in the other shelter. So I went to the shop across the street from the park and bought chocolate. By that point, the sky opened up in a cloudburst of hail.
Then just as the bus pulled to my stop, the hail stopped and the sun came out. By the time, I made it downtown, I realized that the farmers market had a half-hour left before closing. So I aimed my feet and my camera to the Farmers Depot. And you’ll see the results below. (Oddly, when I spoke with the vendors in the market, they had not experienced rain or hail).
