Photography–The Autumn Leaves of Red and Gold

By pnwauthor September 29, 2016 art Bellingham WA nature nature photography Pacific Northwest photography travel

dscn5395It’s still too early to encounter fiery leaves in the Pacific Northwest. A few of the maples and oaks have begun turning, but mostly the trees are still green. I found and harvested acorns for the neighborhood squirrels.

I took these photographs in the Cordata District, near Whatcom Community College. I tossed in a close-up of Mount Baker overlooking North Bellingham and some pond scum, only because it looked otherworldly.

The best places to take autumn foliage is Mount Baker and the North Cascade Highway.
