As promised here are more photographs I took in Seattle on a recent trip. On the third of my four days in Seattle, I headed to Greenlake. I learned that Metro Bus #62 traveled from Ravenna to Greenlake and then through Fremont. So that led me to also visit Fremont later that day. How Fremont has changed!
I felt sad when I experienced the gentrified district. The sculpture of the people waiting for a bus, the rocket, and Theo’s Chocolate were still intact. Some streets remained the same such as North 36th, but most of Fremont underwent a facelift that on one hand left me dazzled and on the other hand disappointed that my old haunt had disappeared. I didn’t even want to explore Ballard by that point. And I stayed away from South Lake Union which had been deconstructed by Amazon (I heard).
With no further ado, here are my photographs from Greenlake and Fremont. Pictures tell a thousand words, but you be the judge.
